Our Verdict
The Patagonia Nomader Shirt is the kind of piece I keep reaching for when I want something that performs well but still looks like regular clothing. At 343g (size M), it’s not the lightest layer, but the comfort and versatility more than make up for it. The blend of organic cotton, recycled polyester, and spandex gives it a soft, broken-in feel with enough stretch to move freely, whether scrambling over rocks or rolling up my sleeves to pitch camp. It dries faster than you’d expect from something cotton-based and does a decent job of resisting creases when packed. The whole button front is handy for venting, and I like that the cuffs roll and fasten easily. The chest pocket fits a card or small notebook without bulging awkwardly.
