A massive versatile tarp that you can put up in numerous ways to create a great area for larger groups to shelter under or use as communal space. This PU version is great for regular use, provides excellent value for money and is well suited for groups.

A great tarp protecting you against dew, rain and sun. Voss PU offers great protection against the elements without adding too much extra weight and stuff to your backpack. Voss PU comes in three different sizes covering 9, 14 and 20 m2 offering multiple options for using it for most situations depending on location and weather. The small and the large version are both almost square whereas the 14 m2 version is more rectangular in shape. Voss can be used as a stand alone in many different ways – or it can be used as an extension of a tent depending on the shape and size. Use it to add extra space, to create an extra shelter or simply as an alternative to a tent.
Our Verdict
The Voss PU Tarp from Nordisk is a top quality tarp that's amazingly versatile for shelter. There are a multitude of points to peg, pole of guy so you can get the best coverage for the conditions. There are 10 guy lines pre-attached which is awesome for straight out the bag use. The storage bag has 11 ideas drawn on for different way to pitch the tarp and this helps with understanding just how versatile it is. The main points are really well reinforced and have pockets for poles to sit in making it much easier to put up quickly or in challenging conditions.
The Voss 20 gets it's name from the enormous 20m2 area it covers and it has certainly been big enough for medium to large group outings as a communal area, shelter from the sun and rain, along with it making a great usable space for a few in bivy bags. This is the PU version which means that it is nylon treated with polyurethane on one side. This means that it is a fair bit heavier than the SI treated version but also a lot less expensive, often coming in at around half the price.
