Building on the success of the original Red Label Soulo comes this Black Label version. A seriously tough tent with some of the strongest, most durable materials around and able to cope in some of the most inhospitable places on earth.

Our Verdict
Hilleberg's Soulo BL 1 Person Tent retains the genuinely freestanding, three pole design that made the original Red Label Soulo so successful. The all-in-one pitching makes it quick and easy to put up while the inner provides extra warmth and the vestibule is a good size for storing your pack, boots and any wet gear. There can still be a bit of flapping in stronger winds but with practice and adjustments this can be minimised. That's not to say the tent doesn't cope well in wind, it does. With the three poles crossing over and 12 guy points this tent does not move. You can be confident of a strong safe shelter in very high winds.
This is a Black Label tent from the Hilleberg range which means you are getting the strongest most durable type of tent they make. It has thick Kerlon 1800 outer fabric and 10mm poles providing amazing levels of strength against the worst weather you'd expect to encounter. There is an obvious weight increase attached to these materials being used but they are designed to withstand the strongest winds in mountainous and polar environments. This tent may well be overkill for most people's camping needs but if you are searching for a tent for winter epics or adventures in some of the harshest environments in the world then it is well worth it.
