A lovely two-man tent with a large, accommodating vestibule that pitches inner and outer first.

The Buck Creek 2 sleeps two in a sloping tunnel design with enough head room to sit in the inner close to its door. The tent clips onto an external frame that has a ridge pole to extend the porch area for the additional storage required for two. The porch has a partial groundsheet to protect content while providing ‘wet’ access where boots can be left. Entry to the tent is via a side door that folds to one side. This features a double zip so the door can be cracked open at the top for additional ventilation.
Our Verdict
If you use this duo, you have space for two standard-size mats, but it will be a little tight; I would use this solo, so I have more room to sprawl.
It's straightforward to pitch, and the inner and outer go up together, so you are not exposing the inner to the elements. Insert the external pole structure into the grommets, then clip onto the poles; it took less than 5 minutes the first time I put the tent up.
The sloping tunnel design of the tent, along with the DAC aluminium poles, means this is a very rigid tent in high winds.
The vestibule is enormous, with plenty of room for gear and more than enough room to cook in if needed.
