This tent has been around for a long time, a traditional bell tent that shies away from canvas in favour of a lighter and stronger Polycotton, a polyester and cotton blend.

The roomy and popular Klondike bell tent provides excellent levels of comfort for up to six people. The vertical door makes for easy access – especially in bad weather. Protective eaves run around the tent to shelter door and walls from rain run off. The groundsheet features a zip to the centre alloy pole, enabling it to be rolled away at the door to create a safe area in which to use the optional stove and a place for muddy boots. The neat Internal Apex Vent Control can be easily opened and closed from inside works with low-level mesh vents to control ventilation.
Our Verdict
This is a beautiful and well-crafted tent; the primary material on the outside is Polycotton, a polyester and cotton blend; this makes the tent breathable, massively reducing condensation.
I love the shape of the tent and the vast A-frame door, this is a real base camp tent, and it's a joy to camp in; not only that, everyone else on the site will suffer from tent envy.
Despite its size, the Klondike is relatively simple to erect, though it's not something I'd wish to tackle alone, and I recommend watching a YouTube video first.
I haven't used it with a wood-burning stove inside (but I am very keen to), and if this appeals to you, the ground sheet of the tent can be zipped in half and folded away so that any ash or embers fall safely on the grass and not on the inside of your tent.
