Ortlieb Sport Roller are 2 x 25 litres panniers, with attachments for front or rear mounting. Made from durable and waterproof fabric, they attach securely with the Quick-lock 2.1 system and are easily removed with the handle release.

This versatile bag can be used on your Lowrider front bike rack or as a small pannier on your rear bike rack. Given its compact size, it is also suitable for use as a child’s first, and very own, bike bag. The Sport-Roller Free has a practical roll closure and can be deployed alone or pairwise. With the proven Quick-Lock2.1 system, the bag can be mounted quickly and securely to any bike rack with a tube diameter of up to 16 mm.
Our Verdict
These are a smaller pannier option from Ortlieb at 25 litres each as opposed to the larger 40 litre panniers. This makes them adaptable and versatile as a smaller rear pannier or extra storage as a front pannier. They also fit children's bikes too. The fabric is very tough, durable and waterproof. The inside of the panniers has a zipped mesh pocket keeping smaller items separate. The Quick-lock 2.1 system is easy to use once adjusted to fit your rack. Adjustments are easy to follow and worth taking a little time over to ensure the panniers don't move. The inserts to adjust to different rack dimensions are a bit stiff to fit, but once in situ, they don't move. Removal of the panniers is easy with just one pull of the strap to release the 2 clasps. The removable shoulder strap is useful if you want to remove the pannier and carry it to and from the bike, or for shopping. I recently used it on an overnight ferry and it proved ideal for that purpose.
