This long and tall Helinox portable camping cot is the choice for camping and fishing trips and makes a great guest bed at home. Our Verdict
This incredibly strong and comfortable cot is a little heavy for a backpacking trip but is an amazing car camping bed. Sleeping on this is probably the best night’s sleep I've had outside.
DAC aluminium poles are best known for their use in some of the strongest tents in the world, including Hilleberg, and that’s what the Helinox Cot One uses to support the bed. The sleeping surface is also incredibly tough but very breathable, which surprised me. It has no insulation, so in cold weather, it may be a good idea to incorporate a pad, or an under-quilt, as you would with a hammock.
