It’s feather-light, brilliantly durable, and blocks the rain like nobody’s business. But we didn’t stop there when designing these rain pants. We included fully taped seams for extra protection, a handy back pocket—which the pants can pack into—and 3/4-length zips that make it easy to slip these pants over even the biggest of boots. With articulated knees for max movement and a carabiner loop so you can clip your packed-down pants to your backpack for easy access, these waterproof pants are here to help you crush any outdoor activity...even if it’s just walking your dog in the rain.
Our Verdict
Made from Gore-Tex’s bluesign-approved 2-layered fabric, this is a very light, but heavy-duty construction. With a Hydrostatic Head of 28,000 and a Thermal Evaporative Resistance (RET) of 4.5, these over trousers boast some impressive stats.
¾ length zips are great for quickly putting on over boots and the dual zip design means you can also quickly ventilate heat if working hard in the rain.
An elasticated waistband, that can be cinched with a drawcord, ensures a good fit that won’t constrict.
A really nice feature is that the trousers easily stuff into the zipped back pocket, which makes them very packable.
