Our Verdict
Rab's Momentum Pants are an excellent option for lightweight, breathable, and mobile performance on warm-weather adventures. Made from their Matrix stretch nylon fabric, they emphasise airflow and uninhibited movement.
The slim, pull-on fit, articulated knees, and long gusseted crotch allow excellent freedom of motion. This makes the Momentum pants well-suited for activities like hiking, scrambling, and climbing, where full mobility is required.
Despite its minimalist weight starting around 200g, the Matrix fabric provides some weather resistance with a fluorocarbon-free DWR coating. Two open-hand pockets and a zippered rear pocket give you basic storage options.
The lightweight elastic waistband with drawcord should keep the fit comfy and secure during active use. And the recycled polyester pocket linings are a nice eco-conscious touch.
