Our Verdict
Inov8 shoes are now famous for their G-Grip rubber outsole, one of any shoe's most durable and flexible treads. This G-Grip is a stick and aggressive tread that grips various trail surfaces.
The shoes have a 22mm stack height at the heel, with an 8mm drop from heel to toe; these hoes feel like they are propelling you forward.
The midsole is incredibly light and springs with a considerable energy return to keep you on the trail longer. I have done a fair amount of road walking in these shoes, and that's when you get a sense of a shoe's bounce and comfort; I was very impressed with how comfortable they kept me mile after mile.
The woven synthetic mesh upper is highly breathable and quick drying; it's a tough and durable material with a bit of give to adjust to your foot's tendency to swell on long trail days.
