Our Verdict
At 159g (UK 12), the Versalite Super-Dry-Tec is built for fast, efficient movement in mixed conditions. The 3-layer Super Dry-Tec membrane delivers a waterproof rating of over 20,000mm and exceptional breathability, making it ideal for high-output use. The 7-denier Ballistic Airlight nylon face fabric is incredibly light yet surprisingly tough for its weight, with a water-repellent finish that performs well in variable weather.
The cut is slim and streamlined, with just enough room for a thin mid-layer. The hood adjusts neatly around both the face and crown for a secure fit, while the pit zips are generous enough to dump heat quickly on steep ascents. Despite its minimal feature set, every detail feels purposeful, from the clean internal seams to the roll-away hood tab.
Durability is good for such a delicate fabric, though I would reserve it for trails rather than heavy bush or heavy scrambling. Comfort and breathability are excellent, and the jacket performs consistently in sustained wet weather.
