Our Verdict
Snow Peak's Pack & Carry Fireplace is a great piece of kit for huddling around, staying warm and even cooking with when you're set up at base camp. Despite the packable design, this medium version still weighs in at over 3.3kg so it's not really designed for carrying on backpacking, more car camping or base camp style use. This medium version measures 350mm wide and sits 248mm off the ground when made so you can get a decent sized fire going in it.
The stainless steel design is solid and highly durable. It is easy to assemble and pack away which can all be done very quickly once you've got the hang of it. The open pit design allows you to burn an assortment of fuels, enjoy watching the flames and feel the heat. You can also place a grill across it and use it for cooking which is great for adding a touch of versatility.
