GSI Outdoor's Halulite Boiler is a generous size for one and could be used for two persons for freeze dried meals or very simple cooking. Clear graduations, a fold away handle and a diameter sized to take a gas cartridge make it a very practical option.
GSI Outdoors says:
This boiler is simple, efficient and incredibly strong, the perfect combination for alpinists, fast-packers and long distance bike tourers. A folding handle locks into place while you're cooking and then folds up for compact storage.
Our Verdict
GSI Outdoor's Halulite Boiler is made from hard annodised aluminium, while not as light as Titanium it transfers heat better and is more able to withstand the odd knock. At 1100ml its quite a large size for one person, for two it will boil enough water for two freeze dried meals or heat up a two person quantity of food. If cooking for two people a bigger, perhaps 1.3L pot is probably a better size.
We like that its sized to take a gas cartridge and there's room for a stove and other bits and pieces. The internal graduationjs are easy to see and use.
