Our Verdict
The updated Eagle Creek No Matter What Duffel 40L is as sturdy and practical as ever, now with a more sustainable build. The bag swallows kit without fuss. At 704g, it's reasonably light for such a hard-wearing, water-resistant bag that can take a fair beating.
The shoulder strap is comfortable, and the handles and lash points feel solid and packs into its own pocket, which is a nice touch when storing it between trips. The compression straps help tame awkward loads, and the overall shape works well for tight spaces.
If you want a simple, tough duffel that won’t let you down when plans shift, this one fits the bill.
