The Original Pile Jacket is exceptionally durable, with a tough berber high pile fleece outer and Pertex® recycled polyester windproof lining. Designed to keep you warm when temperatures fall, features include two zipped handwarmer pockets, a double pile collar with shock cord adjustment, and front zip with storm flap and roll-over chin guard. Worn at crags, walls, and watering holes across the Peak District, this revised version of a classic fleece is a staple for long days outdoors in the cooler months.
Our Verdict
The Rab Original Pile Jacket is a great improvement on the previous Double Pile Jacket. Not only do you still get the warmth from the pile fleece, you also get the added wind resistance from the full Pertex windproof lining, which in turn will keep you warmer. The lining has a smooth feel to is which is great for layering.
It still has a bulky look to it but it's actually lighter than before. A great jacket for wearing at the crag or campsite.
