This Insulated Tent Comforter adds a significant layer of warmth and insulation to your tent floor. Definitely more of a luxury item but well worth it if weight isn't an issue as it seriously increases comfort and durability too.

Our Verdict
Big Agnes's Insulated Tent Comforter acts like an insulated internal footprint. It provides a serious amount of protection and adds durability to your tent floor which is especially useful if you have a lightweight tent with thin fabric. Obviously, at this weight the floor comforter is best suited to use at basecamp in colder conditions but that is likely when it is most effective too. It has adds another layer of water resistance to your tent with a durable, water resistant nylon base under a soft, comfortable upper that makes things much quieter in the tent. It provides a really good amount of insulation which is certainly nice when you're not on an insulated sleeping mat or the conditions are particularly cold, so it does make the tent warmer overall.
It has a much better packsize than expected and although the weight is a bit of an issue for backpacking, the benefits in terms of adding insulation, warmth, comfort and durability are pretty impressive if you are after a bit of luxury. The protector has 10 snap patches to allow you to fix it in place inside your tent. There are also adjustable hooks in the corners to keep it in place when you're using the tent too. Be sure to check the dimensions of your Big Agnes tent as this comes in a 58 x 90" / 147 x 229cm size.
