Our Verdict
The Spike Lake is a nice generous size mummy-cut sleeping bag. The bag opens really wide, so in warmer conditions, the beg vents heat really well, so you will have a comfortable night’s sleep regardless of how warm it is, and the hood is super cosy, cinching down with our constricting. Internally, the lining material feels nice next to your skin, and the external lining has a water-repellent finish to help protect the bag in damp conditions.
The draft tube around the collar and running along the zip are huge and keep cold air from entering the bag. As I say, there aren’t too many frills with this bag; it’s an excellent value, warm winter bag.
